The debut EP Sunrise by Tanjier, was released into the world by in the summer of 2016. It features five tracks, delicately close to the hearts of the alternative synth-pop trio based out of Dublin, Ireland.
The title track and opener to the EP, Sunrise, is a haunting poem written for a child, describing the ever changing world. It features alluring vocals and ambient guitar patterns, beautifully woven together.
Trip, the second track has been said to conjure the likes of Depeche Mode via Pet Shop Boys with its unusual synth patterns and angular percussive lines.
The third and fourth tracks are two snippets of a journey which follows fear, paranoia and depression, before reaching the hopeful recovery of Silver therein after.
The final track of the fourteen minute EP, Misfit Hour, takes the listener to the darker synth laden side of the spectrum. It is moody and deliciously dark, with a hopeful undertone to be felt throughout.
